The GFFA has been held at the beginning of the International Green Week in Berlin for 15 years.
After the 2022 conference was again held virtually due to the pandemic, it will again be held in 2023 in the City Cube at Messe Berlin.
The topic for GFFA 2023: Transforming Food Systems: A Worldwide Response to Multiple Crises.
The war in Ukraine is already shaping the next GFFA. Russia's attack on Ukraine, which is in violation of international law, directly affects global food systems - leading to sharply higher prices for grains worldwide, especially wheat and corn.
This causes problems especially for developing and emerging countries that import food.
Many GFFA events - including 16 Expert Panels, a Science Slam and the Opening - are open to the public.
Participation is free of charge.
