The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) actively promotes sustainable development and humanitarian aid worldwide.

The BMZ strengthens the economic and social structures in countries of the Global South and addresses poverty, inequality, and climate change.

It improves living conditions by enhancing access to education, healthcare, water, sanitation, and promoting gender equality.

Additionally, the BMZ engages in humanitarian aid, collaborating with international organizations and NGOs to provide rapid support in crisis situations.

The BMZ implements several national strategies to achieve its development cooperation goals:
