Hamburg, 7 and 8 October 2024 - The first Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC) will provide a new global political development platform for representatives from politics, economy, science, civil Society and multilateral organizations.
The world is in transition. In times of increasing geopolitical crises, challenges are continually growing.
A new impetus is needed to improve the ability of the global community to collaborate and advance the implementation of the SDGs by 2030.
Especially in times of increasing geopolitical crises, it facilitates exchange between representatives from the global South and the global North.
The SDGs are in great difficulty,
says UN Secretary-General António Guterres and calls for a rescue plan to save humanity and our planet.
The event consists of two parts:
- In discussion groups, global leaders will exchange views on governance structures, necessary changes in international institutions and the formation of alliances for new sustainable financing instruments.
