Welcome
Hamburg Sustainability Conference: Progress and New Alliances for Sustainable Development
Hamburg, June 2-3, 2025 - The Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC) has established itself as a key platform for advancing concrete measures to achieve the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year, the Hamburg Sustainability Conference will once again bring together global stakeholders from politics, business, civil society and academia. In October 2024, more than 1,600 participants from over 100 countries launched key initiatives that will now be further developed.
HSC 2024 brought together representatives from different sectors to work together on solutions to global challenges. More than 60 sessions resulted in a wide range of initiatives - including decarbonizing maritime transport, developing sustainable battery supply chains, and mobilizing private investment.
These projects will remain at the heart of the 2025 Conference: a total of 15 pioneering alliances will be expanded and made more concrete - with a strong focus on international cooperation and innovative financing models for the Global South.
The role of responsible AI in advancing the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals will also be explored in greater depth.
Parallel to the conference, the “Hamburg Sustainability Week” invites the public to take part in open events and discussions throughout the city.
